Mayor's DOLLAR WI$E Campaign
If you're looking here, you may have heard about the DOLLAR WI$E campaign. If so, we're here to help. If not, here's some basic information from the campaign web site.
"The goal of the Mayors' National DOLLAR WI$E Campaign is to encourage the development of ongoing local financial literacy strategies to educate citizens about financial issues. With improved basic personal income money management and planning skills, citizens will be in a better position to own homes, raise healthy families, educate their children, and invest in small businesses."
Once a mayor joins the campaign, there are suggested steps for implementation. Where we can help is the step called "Build a Community Coalition". Jump$tart Washington members are available to work with Washington communities to develop a financial literacy campaign. Many of our members conduct learning sessions throughout the state, and many have on-line or paper resources available for free.
There are 71 cities around the country taking
part in the DOLLAR WI$E campaign, 1 of those cities is in Washington—we'd
like to get more Washington cities involve. If you'd like to partner with Jump$tart
